About David Dessler

After earning undergraduate degrees in history and physics from the University of Oklahoma, David Dessler went on to earn a master’s degree and doctorate in international studies from the Johns Hopkins University Paul H. Nitze School of Advanced International Studies. Knowledgeable about the area of foreign policy, David Dessler served for nearly 30 years as a professor in the Department of Government at the College of William and Mary in Williamsburg, Virginia.

A recipient of the prestigious Thomas Jefferson Teaching Award at William and Mary, Mr. Dessler possesses extensive knowledge in the history and theory of international politics and the political economy, as well as the philosophy of science and quantitative analysis. Moreover, he has been recognized on Princeton Review’s listing of the top 300 professors in the country.

In addition to his professional endeavors, David Dessler enjoys traveling the world. Two of his favorite destinations are France and Russia.
